Alaska SeaLife Center

Master planning, architectural and exhibit design for new aquarium and marine center in Alaska

Cambridge Seven Associates, working with architects Livingston Slone of Anchorage, prepared a conceptual design and program for the new 60,000-square-foot Alaska SeaLife Center, located in Seward, Alaska. This aquarium and marine center provides facilities for research related to Alaska's coastal ecosystems, as well as rescue and rehabilitation programs for pinnipeds, cetaceans and sea mammals. Cambridge Seven’s design for the aquarium and research center included natural exhibit settings seen from above and below water, making visible animal behavior not normally seen by the public.
