A 4-Star Adaptive Reuse
Master planning, architectural and interior design for phase hotel renovation
Cambridge Seven Associates created a master plan and phased approach to transform the Beechwood into a 4-star hotel. The first phase led to the adaptive reuse of an adjacent retail building which was connected to the hotel via a bridge and new porte-cochere. In the second phase, five floors of guestrooms were renovated, with upper floor rooms transformed into deluxe suites with fireplaces. The third phase involved relocating the existing restaurant and designing new banquet facilities, conference spaces and the lobby. The banquet hall, richly furnished in custom fabrics and carpets, is paneled in cherry-toned mahogany and lighted by ten 5’ diameter custom chandeliers. A Chapel, adjacent to the new banquet facilities, was saved by the Beechwood Hotel and restored by Cambridge Seven. Most recently C7A renovated the restaurant space to house the new Ceres Bistro.
