The Charles Hotel
Architectural design and recent interior renovations for hotel in Cambridge
As the original architects for The Charles Hotel, C7A has provided “on call” services for all design decisions related to the property. C7A has completed numerous renovations to improve the guest experience, from modernizing the lobby and public areas to redesigning the guestrooms with academic accents that recall nearby Harvard University. Modern Shaker-inspired furnishings enhance the original architecture while preserving the hotel’s academic, intellectual appearance and signature New England style.
Recent renovations included the Corbu Spa and the redesign of the hotel’s conference center to update the meeting space and create new boardrooms. The hotel's 10,000-square-foot Pavilion is one of two conferencing suites in the hotel. The meeting rooms feature new finishes, state-of-the-art audiovisual components, electronic room displays and internal wire management systems. New customized fixtures provide a series of light levels appropriate for various event planning needs.
