Museum of Science CS&T
Architectural and exhibit design for interactive and flexible innovation gallery at Museum of Science Boston
The Gordon Current Science and Technology Center at Boston’s Museum of Science presents and interprets discoveries and innovations virtually as they occur. Designed by Cambridge Seven Associates with Magian Design Studios, CS&TC supports museum educators with a versatile new digital production studio, a direct access multimedia database, and real-time communications with researchers in the field, that enable them to offer live presentations that engage visitors in exploring science in our lives. The platform serves the presenter as the news desk, television studio and control hub of an open two-level theater with large-screen displays and a multi-channel surround soundscape. The adjacent 2,500-square-foot exhibit space features flexible changing kiosks with large-screen displays and interactive touch-screens supplementing science-in-the-news stories.
