Master plan for architectural renovations and new exhibits at science museum in Boston
The Museum of Science Boston engaged C7A to realign and update their master plan and organize their exhibit galleries to reinforce the museum's programming, focus on new sustainability measures in the building, and better connect the museum with the city. The existing arrival plaza will be expanded, brought to pedestrian scale and recast as a stormwater harvesting exhibit. Renovations to the lobby will streamline visitor services, ticketing and wayfinding throughout the museum and create a clear separation of the museum's two main exhibit wings: the Natural World and the Designed World. New exhibits planned for the first phase of renovations include the "Hall of Human Life," New England Habitats," and "What is Technology?"
C7A has completed box office renovations, new window glazing in the lobby, and provided architectural coordination for the new Hall of Human Life exhibits designed by museum staff.
