Submarine Force Museum

Master planning, architectural, and exhibit design for museum and Nautilus submarine

Cambridge Seven Associates was retained by the US Navy to design the Submarine Force Library and Museum, a museum as well as a pier and mooring for the USS Nautilus, the world's first nuclear submarine. The dynamic museum building reflects the giant scale of today's submarines, and frames an immense view of the conning tower of the Nautilus. Cambridge Seven designed the museum building and all exhibits in the museum. The exhibits explore the history of submersible vessels, submarine technology, the US Navy and undersea research.
