History of the Semiconductor
TSMC Museum of Innovation
Design of corporate exhibits celebrating innovation and technology
The new TSMC Museum, designed by C7A, celebrates the history, innovation, and impact of the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufactory Co. (TSMC) and founder Dr. Morris Chang, creator of the world's first and largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry. Visitors enter a dynamic, immersive Innovation Theatre, which takes them through the history and manufacturing of the semiconductor and explores the impact this important innovation has made on our daily lives. Interactive tables allow visitors to place disks on the surface to unlock secrets of how semiconductors work, their role in powering a variety of electronic devices, and how the RF chip lets people post photos wirelessly to social media. The museum also presents the history of TSMC and its founder, Morris Chang, introducing visitors to the TSMC Foundation and its role in promoting Taiwanese art and education programs.
