UMass Mullins Center

Architectural design for new university sports and convocation center with recent renovations

In 1993, Cambridge Seven Associates designed the 258,000-square-foot William D. Mullins Center to provide a state-of-the-art space for hockey and basketball programs, fine arts productions, convocations, concerts and commencement exercises. The main arena seats 11,000 for basketball, 9,000 for hockey, and 4,000 for fine arts productions. The Mullins Center also contains racquetball courts, a training center, function rooms, locker rooms, offices, and a separate training rink. More recently, Cambridge Seven Associates returned to the Mullins Center to renovate and expand the weight training room and added new varsity lockers.
